KAIAKO
REMINDERS
Book
Returns Whale Rider, Bullibasha, Dreamswimmer
- One
weeks amnesty is offered to all current students and
whanau with past students in a hope that you will return
any of the above books. The rumaki has so many copies missing
that unless these are returned, whanau will need to be charged
to replace the missing copies.
- This
week Kaiako reports will be posted out to Y11/12./13 students
so that whanau can gauge where their student/s are in relation
to internal assessments.
Whaea
Hana
- All
senior students are preparing for korero assessments to
take place in Week 6 and 7 of this term. Please ensure your
child is working on his/her korero at least once a day until
the assessment day.
Whaea
Tere
- Yet
another reminder parents that Rumaki T/Shirts are compulsory
for all Y9/10 students for PE, these can be purchased from
Whaea Tracey on Monday/Thursday and Friday at a cost of
$12.00. Black shorts are also compulsory. Parents will be
contacted by phone if students do not turn up with these
items.
- Period
5 this coming Friday 9th March, all Y9 students will be
taking a trip to Te Tokaroa. Permission slips have been
handed out to those students and these need to be returned
signed (by a parent) by Wednesday of this week. There is
no cost involved.
- Test
results for all students taking any of my classes will be
glued into their books. I ask that parents sign these in
the space provided. I will be checking with students that
this has been completed.
GENERAL
REMINDERS
-
Pasifika Carparking is on this weekend
all whanau will be contacted by their Ropu Co-ordinator
in the next couple of days.
- Kapa
Haka Live-In
will also run this weekend.
Students are free to go home after school on Friday but
must return by 7pm. Remember whanau this is our only Live-In
before Polyfest which is only 2 weekends away. The wananga
will end at 4pm on Sunday afternoon. Again your Ropu co-ordinator
will be in touch to remind you when your ropu is scheduled
to do kai.
We do realise that some of our Y11 students will have
been on PE camp but they are still required to attend this
wananga.
- Year
11/12/13 Kaiako Reports
will be posted out this week FYI.
- Scheduled
Practices and Events -
We are still getting a lot of parents saying that they didnt
know students had Kapa Haka and that they didnt know
that this event was on and that was on etc. At the beginning
of the term a blue Term 1 calendar was sent out to
all whanau. On top of this you also get the weekly panui
which are sent home with tamariki and also emailed to those
whose addresses we have with this information on and any
updates. There should be no reason for you not knowing when
events/practices are scheduled for. If you have any questions
regarding this or you didnt get a calendar please
make contact with Whaea Tracey and she will ensure you have
another copy.
