Te
Whare Kura Sports Competition
FYI
whanau the rumaki has been invited to participate in
an Interschool Netball and 9s Rugby League competition
against other Kura in the Auckland area. This is the first
year anything along these lines has been run and the rumaki
has entered a team into each sport. The Kaupapa behind this
programme is to create Whakawhanaungatanga between the kura
outside of Kapahaka. The concept was initiated by Te Kura
Kaupapa Maori O Piripono and I applaud their vision.
The
competition will take place on a Thursday so in essence
will take the place of team practices which works in well
with our programme.
I
have attached a draw for your information. At the end of the
round robin programme a one day tournament will be held
1 day for netball and 1 day for Rubgy League. This will then
lead onto a Prizegiving where each school will name its players
of the year and a Hakari.
If
you have any questions please dont hesitate in contacting
me.
